I know, it is still not the 10.5 miles that I am shooting for, but I am getting there. I went out Thursday morning (7/3) thinking "Everyone is at work, I should have the road to myself." Oh, how I was wrong. No one was working, as it turned out. It was a bit scary because many cars on Renner felt the need to "share" the lane with me and it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I went out Sunday afternoon and fared much better and actually made it to Avenue K before turning around and heading back. 30 minutes out 28 back.
My goal for Saturday morning is to make it to Alma because there is no way I am going to attempt to make a U-turn at 75...that would be suicide.
I feel really good about it all so far. It is still hard getting out of the neighborhood having to go uphill right off the bat, but I think it is making my legs stronger.
Hey, and I lost 5.4 pounds last week! Rock on!
